The California Division of Workers’ Compensation is holding a hearing Dec. 17 on proposed permanent rules to allow electronic service of medical-legal reports.
The proposal would make permanent rules the division adopted in May 2020 to facilitate telehealth medical-legal exams during the pandemic.
“This addition is intended to make the service of medical-legal reports more convenient for all parties involved and to speed up the delivery of medical-legal reports to the interested parties,” the division said in its initial statement of reason in support of the proposed rule.
