Physician Dispensing Rule Hearing Moved to Nov. 1

The Florida Division of Workers’ Compensation announced that a hearing on proposed physician dispensing rules that was postponed because of Hurricane Ian is being rescheduled to Nov. 1 due to a conflicting industry conference. Proposed changes to 69L-7.730 would allow physicians, physician assistants, advanced registered nurse practitioners and other recognized practitioners to dispense medications that are authorized, medically necessary and causally related to the accident.
