Oregon lawmakers are considering a bill that would revise how temporary and permanent disability benefits are calculated.
Currently, benefits are equal to two-thirds of an injured worker's wage and capped at 133% of the state's average weekly wage. Injured workers must receive at least 90% of their weekly wage or $50 a week, whichever is less.
SB 1519 would replace that with a tiered structure for both temporary and permanent disability benefits.
