First responders in Arizona found traction with their latest effort to expand the presumption that some of their work-related injuries include post-traumatic stress disorder.
The House of Representatives on Feb. 20 voted 57-2 to pass HB 2501, by Rep. Paul Boyer, R-Phoenix, which would declare that first responders who witness a death, the use of deadly force or other specific acts are presumed to have suffered a compensable mental health injury.
