The Workers Compensation Research Institute is hosting a webinar on Sept. 12 to discuss findings of a recent study on opioid prescribing to injured workers in 27 states.
The one-hour webinar will begin at 2 p.m. Eastern time.
During the webinar, WCRI researcher Vennela Thumula will talk about the study, “Interstate Variations in Dispensing of Opioids.” The study looked at trends in the prescribing of opioids, non-opioid pain medications and other pain treatments to injured workers in 27 states, covering data from October 2011 through March 2018.
