The Travelers Cos. Inc. have reported net income of $595 million for the quarter that ended June 30, a 10% decrease from net income of $664 million in the second quarter of 2016.
For the first half of the year, net income was $1.21 billion, down 11% from $1.36 billion in the prior-year period.
The company said its second quarter results were impacted by relatively high levels of catastrophe and non-catastrophe, weather-related losses.
