The Louisiana Supreme Court last week ordered the suspension of a veteran workers’ compensation attorney for collecting an unreasonable fee, violating a judicial order and directing his secretary to forge the name of a client on a satisfaction of judgment.
A majority of the court concluded that George Flournoy’s misconduct warranted a one-year suspension from the practice of law, with all but 30 days deferred, followed by a one-year period of unsupervised probation.
