The owner of a medical transport company in Essex County, New York, pleaded guilty on Thursday to federal charges for his role in a multi-million dollar case involving health care and workers’ compensation fraud.
Waqas Nauman, 37, of Queensbury, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Albany to the federal crime of health care fraud. Nauman is an owner of Green Mountain Medical Transportation Inc., also known as Green Mountain Taxi. As part of his plea, Nauman agreed to pay $55,000 in restitution.
