The California Division of Occupational Safety and Health applauded an appellate court decision upholding citations issued to Home Depot for violating safety standards after a warehouse worker suffered a serious foot injury in 2014.
The 4th District Court of Appeal, in an unpublished decision handed down in October, affirmed one citation saying Home Depot did not provide adequate foot protection. The court said the citations were based on the fact that workers at the Mira Loma warehouse were actually exposed and realistically likely to be exposed to foot injuries.
