Workers’ compensation carrier SAIF Corp. added $15 million to a fund intended to help Oregon employers pay for efforts to protect their employees from the new coronavirus.
The fund has already distributed $10 million to businesses in the state. SAIF on March 31 announced the fund to support employer safety efforts relating to the coronavirus pandemic. Within five days, about 1,300 businesses applied for and used the $10 million.
On Monday, the carrier reopened the fund with an additional $15 million.
