Almost a month after physical therapists discovered they were left out of a plan that authorizes telemedicine services for Medicare recipients — a plan that affects workers' compensation reimbursement in several states — they're still waiting to hear if federal regulators will address the issue.
In a recent letter to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Texas managed care firm Injury Management Organization, which has championed expansion of telehealth services during the coronavirus epidemic, asked the federal agency to add the missing piece of the puzzle.
