California lawmakers voted to send the governor bills that would extend State Compensation Insurance Fund's discretionary investment authority, allow prosecutors to pursue felony or misdemeanor charges in kickback schemes, and clarify that proposed airport firefighter presumptions would apply prospectively.
They also amended a bill to specify which Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation workers would be covered by the proposed expansion of a heart trouble presumption.
