Oregon employers on average will pay nearly 10% less for workers’ compensation insurance next year, according to the Department of Consumer and Business Services.
The department approved a National Council on Compensation Insurance recommendation to lower the pure premium rate, to $1.12 per $100 of payroll, from $1.23. The department said the recommendation would reduce the pure premium, by 9.7%.
The filing marks the sixth consecutive reduction that has lowered the pure premium rate a cumulative 40% between 2013 and 2019.
