Lawmakers are once again trying to expand provider options for injured federal workers.
U.S. Sens. Susan Collins, R-Maine, and Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., on Monday announced the introduction of the latest iteration of the "Improving Access to Workers’ Compensation for Injured Federal Workers Act."
Only physicians, defined as medical doctors and doctors of osteopathic medicine, are allowed to treat injured federal workers under the Federal Employees' Compensation Act.
