New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu signed into law a bill creating a presumption that cancer is an occupational disease for full-time firefighters who meet certain conditions.
The governor on Tuesday signed SB 541, by Sen. Dan Innis, R-New Castle. The bill creates the presumption that cancer is compensable for firefighters with at least 10 years of experience and who work for a fire department that follows the medical examination as outlined by the National Fire Protection Association standard 1582.
