The maximum weekly compensation rate will increase to $1,048 in 2022, the Michigan Workers’ Disability Compensation Agency announced.
State law sets the maximum benefit at 90% of the average weekly wage, which increased to $1,163.79 as of June 30, from $1,083.33.
The agency also announced that the minimum death benefit will increase to $581.90 next year, while the minimum benefit for specific loss and total and permanent disability will increase to $290.95.
