The House on Thursday passed a bill that would require workers to notify their employers in writing when filing a workers’ compensation claim.
House Bill 7132, by Rep. Steven Stafstrom, D-Bridgeport, would require private-sector employees seeking workers’ compensation benefits to submit a written notice of claim for compensation to either a workers’ compensation commissioner or their employer’s last known residence or place of business.
