A former Rikers Island correctional officer admitted to falsely claiming he was injured while on duty following use-of-force incidents with inmates, federal prosecutors in New York announced.
Todd Faustin, 43, on Tuesday pleaded guilty to one count of making false statements related to health care matters.
According to the indictment, Faustin submitted at least eight false claims from January 2016 through December 2023.
