Owner of Masonry Company Charged with Premium Fraud

The Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office announced the owner of a masonry company was charged with failing to report employees in an effort to reduce his workers’ compensation premiums by more than $30,000. Prosecutors said Georgy Pyden, the 55-year-old owner of Rockwell Masonry, stole more than $30,000 from AIM Mutual Insurance Co. and the Massachusetts assigned risk pool from 2016 to 2020. “Investigators allege that, for several years, Pyden listed himself as the sole employee of his company,” the Attorney General’s Office said in a statement Friday. &ldquo...
