West Virginia’s Intermediate Court of Appeals upheld the denial of a worker’s claim of injury from getting up from a sofa. Case: Carter v. Humana Inc., No. 24-ICA-283m 12/23/2024, published. Facts: Letina Carter worked for Humana Inc. She sought medical treatment on May 30, 2023, saying she twisted her right knee when standing up from a sitting position on a very low sofa in a client’s home.
