The New York legislative session for 2019 is only a few days old, but no less than 15 bills have been introduced that would affect parts of the workers’ compensation law, including cost-of-living-adjustments, volunteer firefighters’ benefits and insurance carriers’ ability to write comp in the state. Some of the bills have been introduced in past years and have not made it out of committee.
