A bill introduced to the Oklahoma Legislature that attempted to repair flaws that led courts and the Workers' Compensation Commission to overturn parts of the state's sweeping 2013 reform measure died in committee on Wednesday, according to a report by the Journal-Record newspaper.
House Bill 2205 by Rep. Jon Echols, R-Oklahoma City, sought to amend several provisions of the Administrative Workers' Compensation Act and the Employee Injury Benefit Act that the commission and the appellate courts found objectionable.
