A New York man has been charged in Connecticut with fraud, accused of working while collecting workers' compensation benefits following an injury more than three years ago.
Michael Filippou, 49, of the Bronx, is scheduled to appear before Stamford Superior Court on Dec. 15, charged with one count of workers' compensation fraud, a class B felony.
Filippou reported suffering an injury at work in April 2012 while employed as a mechanic for Bimbo Bakeries in Greenwich, Connecticut.
