Judge Insisting AG Respond to Constitutional Challenge

A Florida state judge is asking the state attorney general to show cause why he shouldn't declare the exclusive remedy of the state's workers' compensation scheme unconstitutional. Judge Jorge Cueto on Thursday gave Attorney General Pam Bondi's office 10 days to respond to arguments by Florida Workers' Advocates and the Workers' Injury Law & Advocacy Group that Florida Statutes Section 440.11 is facially invalid.
