Court Overturns Denial of Correctional Officer's Request to Expand Claim

An Ohio appellate court overturned the denial of a worker’s request to expand the scope of her claim to add depressive disorder finding she wasn't required to produce pre-injury documentation of a pre-existing condition in order to prove a substantial aggravation of that condition. Candiace Fowler worked for the Indian River Juvenile Correctional Facility as a correctional officer. She was injured in April 2016 when she intervened in a fight between facility residents.
