Mitchell International Acquires UniMed Direct

Mitchell International has acquired UniMed Direct, a provider of managed care software and physician peer-review services to the workers’ compensation industry, Mitchell announced on Monday. UniMed offers services such as pre-authorization, retrospective utilization review, peer review and specialty review. The Texas-based company has been accredited since 2007 by the Utilization Review Accreditation Commission, or URAC.
