Split Court Denies TTD to Worker who Had Reduction in Earnings After Attempted Return to Job

A divided Virginia Court of Appeals ruled that an injured worker was not entitled to temporary total disability benefits after he attempted to reclaim his time-of-injury job, but suffered a reduction in earnings. Case: Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority v. Blot, No. 1395-21-2, 09/06/2022, unpublished. Facts: Thomas Blot worked as a sales associate at a Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority store. In December 2019, he injured his knee when he tripped over a rug at work.
