Supreme Court: Strip Club's 6,600 Performers Are 'Employees'

The Nevada Supreme Court last week ruled that exotic dancers at one Las Vegas club are employees, not independent contractors. Sapphire Las Vegas bills itself as the "world's largest men's club," featuring 70,000 square feet of "topless entertainment." And according to Thursdays' unanimous court decision, it owes back wages to a class of some 6,600 current and former dancers. Michael J.
