The American Translators Association petitioned the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to include interpreters among the essential workers eligible for Phase 1 vaccinations.
The association, in a Dec. 17 letter to the CDC, urged that on-site medical interpreters be listed among examples of health care personnel who will be eligible to receive the vaccine during the first phase.
