Hauling Company, Landfill Agree to Pay $33,000 to fired Whistleblower

A landfill and a hauling company have settled with a worker who they allegedly fired for filing a whisteblower complaint with the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration. A truck driver working for Panther City Hauling filed the complaint against his employer and Perry Ridge Landfill on July 26, 2011, after he had slipped while working on a trailer he had driven to a municipal waste treatment facility.
