Restitution Order in Premium Fraud Scheme Clears $1 Million

The owner of a Northern California paving company was ordered to pay more than $1 million in restitution to two carriers after pleading no contest to six felonies for premium fraud and payroll tax fraud, the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office announced. Maurosan Milhomem, owner of Viking Pavers Inc., was ordered to pay $1.1 million in restitution to Markel Corp. for underpayment of workers’ compensation premiums, prosecutors announced.
