A husband and wife convicted of failing to report employees and payroll to California State Compensation Insurance Fund over a three-year period were sentenced to 120 days in jail and ordered to pay $925,000 in restitution, the Department of Insurance announced.
Carmen Hall Soruco, 70, and her husband, Antonio Soruco, 75, both pleaded guilty to workers’ compensation fraud charges and were sentenced last week.
