Thanks to a recent drop in overall workers' compensation costs for employers, Tennessee regulators now feel comfortable granting medical providers a significant increase in fees, one that will rise with Medicare's fees over time, officials said this week.
The proposed fee schedules and rules would give doctors their first raise since 2012, and hospitals their first increase in fees since 2005, said Dr. Robert Snyder, medical director for the bureau.
