A Staten Island doctor accused of dispensing thousands of oxycodone pills for no legitimate purpose and soliciting sexual favors has been temporarily barred from treating injured workers, the New York State Workers' Compensation Board announced.
The board said in a bulletin that Dr. Joseph Santiamo's authorization has been suspended, at least until a hearing can be held by the state Board of Professional Conduct.
