New York doctors won’t get a cancellation fee if a deposition is canceled in a workers’ compensation case, but they will receive a little more money for actual testimony. They also won’t earn any more on drug tests, and will still face limits on confirmatory drug testing.
Those are just a few of the parameters made final this month in the State Workers’ Compensation Board’s medical fee schedules and ground rules. The board said it had received hundreds of comments on a draft of the rules it published in October, and took some to heart but discounted others.
