W.R. Berkley Appoints CFO and Corporate Controller

W. R. Berkley Corp. has appointed Richard M. Baio as senior vice president and chief financial officer, and Andrea C. Kanefsky as vice president — corporate controller, the carrier said in a press release. The appointments are effective immediately. Baio most recently served as the company’s vice president and treasurer. He succeeds Eugene G. Ballard, executive vice president, who will continue to have oversight responsibility of the finance, actuarial and data management departments.
