NCOIL Forms Air Ambulance Task Force

The National Conference of Insurance Legislators has announced the formation of an Air Ambulance Task Force to examine ways to protect patients from excessive and often out-of-network billing for air ambulance service. The task force was formed after discussions of the air ambulance issue at multiple NCOIL meetings, including a general session last year, according to NCOIL President Steve Riggs, a Democratic member of the Kentucky House of Representatives.
