New York Gov. Kathy Hochul signed a bill that will require the Workers’ Compensation Board to appoint the Uninsured Employers Fund as the carrier in cases where the identity of the responsible carrier can’t be determined within 10 days of a claim.
Hochul on Dec. 22 signed Assembly Bill 359, by Assemblyman Jonathan Jacobson, D-Newburgh.
