The California Workers’ Compensation Institute, in a bulletin released Tuesday, said growth in lost-time claims and double-digit increases in average paid and incurred indemnity drove public self-insureds' total paid losses up 7.3% to a record $445 million.
At the same time, CWCI reports total incurred losses climbed 5.8% to more than $1.4 billion.
