The California Division of Occupational Safety and Health posted guidance on monkeypox to ensure workers are protected from the disease.
The agency commonly known as Cal/OSHA said the monkeypox guidance applies to workplaces covered by the aerosol transmissible diseases standard, including health care facilities, medical transport, police and public health services.
Monkeypox can be spread by close or direct contact and also become airborne.
