Multiple MRI findings are more strongly associated with low back pain than single findings, according to a new study in the journal Spine.
The study, published online last month ahead of print, analyzed data from two previous studies that examined the association between single magnetic resonance imaging findings and low back pain.
One study looked for the presence of low back pain among 412 subjects who were 40 years old. The second study monitored the recurrence of low back pain among 76 people who had recently recovered from the condition.
