High-performing physicians can reduce medical costs and shorten the length of a claim, Harbor Health Systems announced at a recent conference in Laguna Beach, California.
Harbor Health, a subsidiary of One Call Care Management, reported a 20% drop in medical costs during a five-year period when patients went to providers with a track record of producing superior outcomes. As a result, those claims were shorter and payers spent less on indemnity benefits.
