Senate Passes Airport Firefighter Presumption Expansion

The California Senate unanimously passed a bill that would add firefighters at certain airports and other federal facilities to the statutes creating presumptions covering ailments ranging from hernias to methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus infections to cancer. The Senate voted 50-0 on Tuesday to pass Senate Bill 230, by Sen. John Laird, D-Santa Cruz.
