The California Division of Occupational Safety and Health issued what it said is one of its latest advisories to remind employers about protecting workers from heat as high temperatures hit the southern part of the state.
The agency commonly known as Cal/OSHA said employers are required to provide water, rest, cool-down areas and training to prevent heat illness for indoor workers. Outdoor workers must have access to fresh water and shade, in addition to regular breaks.
