DWC Accepting Comments on Proposed Changes to Pharmaceutical Fee Schedule

The California Division of Workers’ Compensation is accepting comments on proposed changes to the pharmaceutical fee schedule that would, among other things, create a two-tiered fee for dispensing drugs. The division said in rulemaking materials that the work comp fee schedule is primarily based on Medi-Cal’s pharmacy payment system. And Medi-Cal implemented payment methodologies that will increase dispensing fees for all pharmacies, with smaller firms getting the biggest raise.
