The Workers’ Compensation Insurance Rating Bureau will discuss findings from its 2021 study of geographic differences in California claim development during a Nov. 30 webinar.
Since 2015, the WCIRB has been releasing annual reports on regional similarities and differences in claim frequency and severity, medical costs, loss adjustment expenses, loss development and other claim characteristics.
To date, the studies have consistently found indemnity claim frequency to be higher in the Los Angeles region and lower in the San Francisco Bay Area.
