A bill that would mandate adoption of a medical fee schedule in Wisconsin will die in a Senate committee even though the panel will take it up during a public hearing Wednesday, a senior legislative staff member said Monday.
If Senate Bill 665 indeed does fail, it would be only the second time since World War II that an agreed-to bill drafted by the state Workers’ Compensation Advisory Council did not pass. The first time was in 2014 when the council proposed a similar fee schedule.
