Machinery Accident Kills Smithfield Foods Worker

A man who worked at a Smithfield Foods manufacturing plant in Middlesboro, Kentucky, died in a grisly job site accident on Oct. 17. WYMT-TV reports that 61-year-old Mark Allen Tapp was working on a processing machine when his clothing became snagged, pulling him in and killing him.
