Laurie Zdanis has been named president and chief executive officer of Michigan Commercial Insurance Mutual, a workers’ compensation insurance carrier.
Zdanis, who joined MCIM in 2013, had been the firm’s chief operating officer and vice president of underwriting, Business Observer reported. Before that, she was program underwriting manager for Meadowbrook Insurance Group. She owned an agency from 2007 to 2008.
Michigan Commercial Insurance Mutual got its start in 1980 as the Michigan Construction Industry Self-Insurers' Fund, a workers' comp insurance program.
