Air ambulance providers have won another court victory against payers, courtesy of the federal Airline Deregulation Act.
The Wyoming Supreme Court ruled Tuesday that the Office of Administrative Hearings correctly applied a federal court decision holding that the Airline Deregulation Act pre-empts the state's fee schedule on air ambulance fees and was correct in ordering the division to pay an additional $3.3 million that the providers had billed for their services in 95 claims filed from 2012 to 2016.
